Look at what the Lord has done.
We are wrapping up this year of 2025. I am so grateful for how we were able to partner together this year, whether I came to your church or camp, or the music and resources I make are used and supported by your organization. I am so grateful for people like you that help me MAKE JESUS LOUD!
I’ve been in a sweet season the last few years of meeting people who once were kids that listened to my music that are now “all grown up”. At my concert last Friday was one of those people. She was there with her own baby. Many years ago, in my in between season where God was confirming kids and families was where He wanted me, I led worship at her camp. Now a second generation Yancy fan is in the making. It was so very special.
A different #kidmin leader was also there. She has worked at a church that attended camps where I led worship over the years. She commented how much she loves being in a room with these “now grown up” adults when they are reminiscing about the impact I made on them as kids. Never forget: kids grow up.
I remember someone recently praying for me to see the fruit of what I’ve done. No doubt, last Friday I walked away with the photos and stories to prove it. Seeds are planted…and they aren’t forgotten. We don’t always see them bloom but that doesn’t make the harvest any less.
I recall a song I heard recently about planting flowers and plants even if you’re gonna move. I can relate to the concept. I may only see them for a day. Many will listen on countless car rides I’m unaware of, outside of the data. More days than not, I’m working alone unaware of the impact that gets made….but if you don’t give up and you don’t quit, you realize the ripples are as big and vast as the ocean itself.
I won’t soon forget these “Yancy music” grand babies out there. May the cycle keep repeating itself until every generation of my lifetime and beyond “makes Jesus loud!” I pray we all put His praise on our lips!
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices!
Here’s a few things we want to celebrate from 2025!
I recorded and released a few songs. Starting with History Maker with Nineties Worship Night. It was so fun reflecting on that song and what a prayer that lyric has been in my own life over the years. https://found.ee/historymaker_NWN
Then we released That’s My King. What a party this song is. I loved leading the song this summer at camps and know it will be a special part of many worship sets for years to come. One of the writer’s of the song married a girl who was a big fan of mine back in the day. In fact she wrote me one of my favorite letters I’ve ever received back in 2020. It’s so cool how God intertwines our stories. I’ve loved connecting with them in recent years and recording this song is a testimony of all that and more. https://sc.lnk.to/Yancy-tmk
I also was nominated for another Dove Award this year. (Children’s Recorded Song of the Year for That’s My King.) Although I didn’t win, it was still an incredible day. I had my family in tow and was able to meet many people on the red carpet that testified of the impact my music has made on their family. What a gift and forever memory.
This fall, I released Merry Christmas Greetings. Ya’ll know how much I love Christmas music. This was a song I had written for my “Best Christmas Song Ever” musical but knew it was a fun one so many would enjoy. Thankfully, I was able to release it this year for all to hear and of course we made a lyric video. This is song #22 on my Christmas music playlist. What a joy to have recorded 22 Christmas songs over the years! Be sure to take a listen with your family this season. https://sc.lnk.to/y-MCG
We know 181 countries that push play on our music and resources. Isn’t that so cool? Social media is a gift
when we you see a post or receive a message from a country so far away. It makes the most ordinary days feel
extraordinary as you see the great commission at work and on display. Rejoice with us at the impact this
represents. When Spotify released their annual Wrapped stats we learned about the 8.8 million streams we had
over 679k listeners. (Those numbers grow bigger every year!) That’s just on Spotify! Then you add in Apple
Music, Amazon, Pandora and so many other platforms too. And we are independent. No label or major
company helping us. It’s the support of people like YOU. It’s pretty amazing to think about how together we are
helping kids fall in love with Jesus one song at a time!
Our YouTube channel “YancynotNancy” continues to grow every single month. We have over 80,000
subscribers and in 2025 alone had over 8.1 million video views. Tell families you know to check out
youtube.com/@yancynotnancy to like and subscribe to our channel.
Many articles and blogs were written for: Worship Musician Magazine and other ministry
organizations. I am a professor at Ascent College teaching about kids worship. I taught breakouts on
discipling kids in worship with leaders at Children’s Pastors Conference, Experience Conference, Kidzmatter
Conference, FOCUS C/G, Bible Creative Online, COGOP Institute of Children’s Ministry, Orange Conference
and continued teaching as faculty in Kidmin Academy. Plus, I’ve coached Next Gen worship leaders through my
program CHORUS. If you know anyone that needs help and training, send them my way.
The Little Praise Party and Yancy music videos are made available to families through partners like Right
Now Media, Minno and Yippee. Churches like Life.Church use the music in all of their campuses! We’ve
partnered with Curriculum resources like Awana and First Look to use our music. We are incredibly grateful for
our partners that help us get the music videos out there so lives can be impacted beyond our own imagination.
Just over a year ago we launched Stained Glass Kids podcast. Yancy interviews PK’s, MK’s and ministry kids
each week, so far ranging from 17-70 years old. God had been highlighting this group of people to us. We have
heard how much healing this has offered them. So many say “this is a bear hug I didn’t even know I needed.”
Even our guests have reconnected with people and it’s provided apologies and closure for all involved. She
considers this her love letter to the Church, wanting to build a healthier church from the inside out. If you work
at a church or are raising your own ministry kids, this is a must listen to give you insight for both the ones that
live at your house and your co-worker’s kids too. We believe these conversations are really special. Please tell
everybody you know about this resource. Yancy has been able to teach breakouts on PK’s at a couple
conferences. There are books on her heart. Please pray for wisdom and connections so this area of ministry can
flourish. It is holy, hard and set-apart work. Learn more and listen at StainedGlassKids.com
our promo video for it. We think it turned out pretty great!
I am confident of this mission: to help kids fall in love with Jesus one song at a time.
Through the songs I write….
Through the messages I share with leaders…
Through the live events I get to do…..that is the goal. I want to help people get a taste of His presence!
How can we partner in 2026 and beyond?
- We’d be lying if I didn’t tell you this is the hardest year in ministry we’ve ever had. We did less live events than ever before which is heartbreaking because we believe in the value of what we do and what it provides families. There is so much needed for Christian families! This has also been burdensome financially as live events is a huge way we supported the ministry. It makes it really hard to think about creating new music and resources when there’s no money to invest in that.
- We have found culture has changed with church leaders. Even some of our conference experiences have changed. Yes, the ministry aspect is great. Meeting and encouraging leaders happens. But again, the provision layer has gotten more complicated and so figuring out how to move forward in the future is going to require support in new ways.
- As people move into streaming more and more, impact increases but those streams don’t provide us what CD’s and DVD’s did. This is hard when we invest thousands into every song and video. On average it takes about $3,500 now to get us a song recorded and a lyric video made and ready to release to the public. With the world of streaming there is so much volume of impact. The impact is great but the financial numbers don’t translate to the support that we need in order to pay recording and production costs of making new content. It’s a strange season. Every shirt sale and monthly support donor is becoming crucial to our future. We are realizing we have way more in common with a missionary than pop stars. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
- Pray for wisdom as we navigate some opportunities ahead of us. We want to hear God’s voice and walk in obedience in every relationship and partnership. May we have clarity on what God wants us to do vs. just what’s a good idea! Yes, we need more staff and office space. Those things require money. Yancy has many books in her heart to write. Timing for those and the right partners to support those messages is a point of prayer.
- Pray for favor. This is such a key ingredient in what we do. We want to be like David where scriptures says “The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.” Let it be said of us. Pray for more Pastor’s kids and ministry leaders to find out about the podcast. We want these messages of healing and restoration that God makes beautiful things out of the most broken seasons of our lives to go far and wide.
- GIVE. If you’ve been blessed by our ministry, pay it forward for someone else to be impacted in the same way. Whether it’s a tax deductible year-end donation or an ongoing monthly gift we will continue to make the best music out there for kids and families. Songs filled with God’s Word and great musicality too. In everything we do, music, training, podcasts we aim to make Jesus loud! We are believing for Kingdom provision! Thanks for prayerfully considering how you can partner with us.
