We are so excited to announce Yancy has been nominated for a Dove Award in the Children’s Recorded Song of the Year category for her version of “That’s My King”. The Gospel Music Association Dove Awards is on October 7, 2025 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. As we celebrated the announcement on social media, we loved hearing from churches how their kids are loving this song!
Here is Yancy’s reaction to the nomination:
“Today I was nominated for a Dove Award for Children’s Recorded Song of the Year and my version of “That’s My King”.
#reallife It’s my son’s birthday and I was wrapping up leading worship at a preteen camp in Texas…where of course I had led “That’s My King”. I had totally forgotten about the nominations being released so after my worship set, I walked off stage to be surprised by some text messages congratulating me on the news. Honestly, I burst into tears. I’m not gonna lie it’s been a hard season. This song is special for me because of one of its writers Taylor Agan and how my music has influenced his family. I love that this song helps all of us “Make Jesus Loud”. This week I heard kids do so with a holy roar. It’s chilling.
I am humbled to be a messenger and servant of the Most High God. I’m grateful for how He chooses to use me and the ripple effect of the lives that I get to impact. Every story and person matters. It never gets old leading children in worship.
