“When I think of Rich Mullins, I think of his album “Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth”. When I think of “Awesome God” my life flashes before my eyes. It’s the first solo I ever had with the kids choir at church (when it was a new song). I sang on the first verse…which are some of the snazziest lyrics ever written.
I’m thankful for the listens as my Mom played this album discipling me on our drive times. I’m thankful for opportunities to step into my future. I’m in awe of the awesome God He is and how He writes our stories….including releasing this new version of the song in 2026. My son, Rhythm fell in love with this song and I knew it was a song for this generation. I can’t wait to lead this song with boys and girls and declare right along with them “What An Awesome God”.
