Pair up your family members. Tie rope around the waists of each pair leaving a long length of rope in between each pair. Then, let teams have a race or complete a mini-obstacle course (run around the tree, jump over the ball, etc.).
When everyone has finished, talk about the perils and problems of running attached to someone else. Did one person stay far away from his/her teammate? Did one person’s actions affect the other’s?
Relate to Jesus’ desire to be connected to us. When we choose to walk away from Him, it can hurt or get us off the path and plan He has for us. Just as we want to stay with our partner for the race, we want to stay close to Jesus.
